Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Vision is to be a positive influence in communities worldwide.
The Sterling Kiwanis Club is an organization of men and women who have joined together for the purposes of community improvement and personal development, civic involvement and public leadership, and mutual support and social interaction.
The Objects of Kiwanis
- To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
Civic-minded, results-oriented, fun-loving individuals who wish to join with like-minded people to cooperatively work to enhance the lives of children and improve the local community, to join us in meaningful projects, interesting programs and enjoyable activities.
We are always interested in meeting prospective members or finding out about new projects. If you let us know, we will forward a personal invitation to a meeting or event, or you can just drop by to see what we are doing. You are always welcome. Meetings are every Tuesday morning from 6:45-7:45am in the Ryberg Auditorium at CGH Medical Center, 100 East LeFevre Road, Sterling. A membership application is available here.
